Once I get going and say what I want to get off my chest I don't stop, I say it how it is, whether it offends some, you all take this how you want to take it, I am in every right to say how I feel. I want to address a reoccurring issue I have within this community, and my blood is boiling right now, a few years ago I left Tumblr and the community, I did not want to, but out of respect for the missus, after finding the then love of my life, I deleted my Tumblr account, and fast forward to 2021 we recently ended things and am now single again, I decided to create a new Tumblr account and rejoin the resus community, but that's not the issue I have, the issue I have is the double standards within this community. The double standards in this resus community is second to none, this is a 50/50 community. I will say this, I will stand up for change within any community that I think needs to change, I think this resus community needs a major change and I want to be the answer to that call for a change.
I see I am still topic of conversation in that certain persons post still branding me out and calling me out, thing is, I apologised humbly, I put my hand on my heart and I apologised as I was in the wrong for doing what I did, but yet you won't stop calling me out, you are not satisfied till you get one over, I am not one for drama, but you still are calling me out and still won't drop it, that's ok, call me out I will continue to call you out and trust me when I have things that I want to get off my chest I say it how it is and people don't like that, to me when I talk it's like a pipebomb. In 1888, Bell was one of the founding members of the National Geographic Society, and served as its president from 1896 to 1904, also helping to establish its journal.īell died on 2 August 1922 at his home in Nova Scotia.Communities need a change in this current era, the resus community needs a major revamp and a change whether that be due to double standards, eg: men getting slandered by women tarnishing their name, like they are perfect, nobody is perfect, there are women like that in this world and that boils my blood and angers me.
In 1885 he acquired land in Nova Scotia and established a summer home there where he continued experiments, particularly in the field of aviation. In 1880, Bell was awarded the French Volta Prize for his invention and with the money, founded the Volta Laboratory in Washington, where he continued experiments in communication, in medical research, and in techniques for teaching speech to the deaf, working with Helen Keller among others. Within a year the first telephone exchange was built in Connecticut and the Bell Telephone Company was created in 1877, with Bell the owner of a third of the shares, quickly making him a wealthy man. However, Bell was granted a patent for the telephone on 7 March 1876 and it developed quickly. Others were working along the same lines, including an Italian-American Antonio Meucci, and debate continues as to who should be credited with inventing the telephone. citizen in 1882.īell had long been fascinated by the idea of transmitting speech, and by 1875 had come up with a simple receiver that could turn electricity into sound. The school subsequently became part of Boston University, where Bell was appointed professor of vocal physiology in 1873. In 1872 Bell founded a school in Boston to train teachers of the deaf.
There he pioneered a system called visible speech, developed by his father, to teach deaf-mute children. In 1870, Bell emigrated with his family to Canada, and the following year he moved to the United States to teach. His father and grandfather were both authorities on elocution and at the age of 16 Bell himself began researching the mechanics of speech. Bell was a Scottish-born American scientist and inventor, most famous for his pioneering work on the development of the telephone.Īlexander Graham Bell was born on 3 March 1847 in Edinburgh and educated there and in London.
